Cbz Epub Converter

Turn a Cbz comic archive into a fixed-layout Epub that opens in Kobo, Apple Books and most other readers. Pages keep their order and their exact pixel size.

What it does

A Cbz is a zip archive of page images. This converter sorts the pages the way humans expect (page 2 before page 10), reads each image's real pixel size, and builds a fixed-layout Epub 3 where every page keeps those exact dimensions. The first page becomes the cover. Junk entries that some tools leave in the archive are skipped. The result passes validation, which you can confirm with the checker.

Why fixed layout

Comics are drawn as whole pages, so reflowing them makes no sense. A fixed-layout Epub tells the reader "render this page at exactly this size", which keeps panels, lettering and double-page art crisp instead of squashed into a text template.

What about Cbr?

Cbr archives are RAR files, and RAR needs a licensed decompressor, so this tool takes Cbz (zip) only. Most comic managers can repack a Cbr as Cbz in one step, and many files named .cbr are actually zips already; renaming to .cbz is worth a try before anything else.

Reading on a Kobo or Kindle

Kobo devices read the converted Epub directly. For the best Kobo experience our sister site kepubify.com converts Epub to Kepub. Kindles accept Epub through Send to Kindle.
